Bad posture isn’t something that relates purely to aesthetics.  Over time, bad posture leads to serious pain in the back, shoulders, knees and hips.  Bad posture leads to lose of flexibility and joint problems. However, you can avoid all these problems.  Here is how you learn to fix bad posture.

4 easy ways to fix bad posture:

#1: Move Your Head While Sitting at A Desk:

This will make sure that your muscles in the back of your neck stay relaxed. Simply move your head around occasionally.  Drop your chin down and hold for a count of five. Do this exercise  5 to 10 times each day to remind yourself to keep good posture.

#2: Fix Rounded Shoulders:

Lay on the floor with your face down. Place your arms at a 90º angle and try to raise them without changing your elbow angle. While you are raising your arms, pull your shoulders back and squeeze.

#3: Strengthen Shoulder Muscles:

When you have an elevated shoulder, this means that the muscle you have under your chest is weak. So, you need to make it stronger. In order to do this, just sit upright on a chair. You should place your hands next to your hips, with the palms down on the seat and the arms straight. Making sure that you don’t move your arms, push down until you feel that your hips are lifting off the seat and that your torso rises. You should try to hold this position for five seconds and do it 2 to 3 times each time, in sets of 12 reps.

#4: Wear a Posture Corrector Brace:

It’s possible to have posture problems without knowing the source.  If you don’t know how to deal with back pain or poor posture, a posture corrector is a good place to start.   The Toros-Group posture brace is a good all around brace that can worn for maximum support:

A good posture corrector brace should not only help you maintain good posture but also be comfortable.  It should be easy to put on and take off and adjustable.

After training with a posture corrector brace, you’ll notice that you’ll be walking and sitting straight better over time. This is because the posture brace is “training” your body that this is the right position.
